I was diagnosed with scoliosis (a curvature of my spine) as a child, and it has been a part of my life for over 50 years. As a teenager, it began to cause back pain. Over time, this pain worsened significantly and became chronic, and I had to take medical retirement at the age of 28. My scoliosis has affected my mobility and daily life ever since.
This section shares my personal experience of living with scoliosis, including the challenges, changes, adaptations and things I have learned along the way.
These posts are not medical advice or a guide to scoliosis — they are simply my own experiences of living with this condition.
