Review of Huggaroo Neck and Shoulder Wrap ~ I Love it
I’ve written before about the effect of stress on pain. If I’m under stress for any reason and can’t control it, my pain normally gets worse but it’s not just my usuals pain. I often get tension headaches. Medication doesn’t tend to help me when I have those type of headaches, but I sometimes find that applying a heat pad to the back of my neck can help. Therefore I was excited when a company called Huggaroo got in touch and offered to send me a head, neck and shoulder wrap so I could write a review about it.
Coping Better on Painful Days by Enjoying Good Memories
When we’re struggling with pain, whether it’s physical or emotional, it can often feel like there’s nothing to look forward to. Creativity Can Help You to Cope With Your Pain
I often mention using distractions as a way of coping with pain. That’s because when we concentrate on something, it can take the focus off the pain, even if only briefly. I love creative hobbies because my mind can become really absorbed in whatever I’m doing. A lot of people in the chronic illness community are also creative, so perhaps I’m not the only one who thinks that creativity can help us to cope with pain.
I would never suggest that creativity can cure pain. If my doctors can’t cure it, painting a pretty picture or stringing some beads together certainly won’t. But I’m sure it helps me to cope.
